The perfect concept execution takes time and attention to detail. Our wedding planning with Niki and Jack commenced over a year ago after she reached out to understand the capabilities of our Asian planning services. As you can see, we did not disappoint, and we brought our A-game when it came to the finer textures and tones to really fulfil Niki’s ideas. 

The Process

  • Niki called Rohita Pabla Weddings and Events to enquire about our planning services for Asian weddings over a year before the wedding was due to take place.  And, can you believe it, we missed the call…​​​​
  • ​​​​​​​We called the number straight back and we spoke for nearly an hour talking and ideating. ​​​From that day we started the planning together with endless late-night calls and laughter. We did this for over a year until the day finally arrived. 
  • As a homeware designer herself, she knew exactly how she wanted her decor for the wedding to look and feel and it was our job to bring it to life.
  • We found and instructed the perfect suppliers for every aspect of the day including the décor and flowers, DJ and entertainment, printing suppliers, photographer and videographer, cake, cocktails and even a 360-video booth. 

The Result:

  • We created a rustic outdoor feel, using the stunning view from the clear span of the marquee, of the historic house at Cobham Hall in Kent. 
  • Niki & Jack’s head table was adorned with metal frames wrapped in deep floral tones with hints of light pinks and foliage .

From my initial consultation with Rohna & Kelan, I knew they were going to be a fun couple. They were ready to create something unique for their spectacular wedding and we weren’t afraid to hold back on their vision for the day. As their bespoke Asian wedding planner, I knew just how to deliver their dream wedding… 

Let’s walk through the wedding planning process: 

The Brief 

“A relaxed, resort style wedding. One where guests are left in awe with theatrical, never seen before elements! We want our venue to be unrecognisable from the beginning to end!” 

I knew at this point that this wedding needed some meticulous planning and intricate detailing to bring it to life. Following many discussions over the 2 whole years we worked together, Rohna and Kelan trusted my advice and we pulled off a completely bespoke concept. Here’s how we did it…

The Wedding 

After exciting consultations, we whittled down the key components that would really make this wedding stand out. We talked through everything from décor to running order and left no small detail unexplored. 

Rohna and Kelan were keen to impress as they celebrated their day and were passionate about making their guests feel special. Here are a few of the unique touches we discussed to include throughout the day to give their Indian wedding a real luxury feel: 

✨ A formal sit-down lunch for everyone, where guests could enjoy a stunning 3 course meal instead of the traditional buffet style service.

✨ A night club style reception where food & drinks were endless and centre of attention, taking the event to the next level.

Chris & Anu’s Monochrome Black Tie Wedding at Leeds Castle in Kent

A wedding at a castle. It’s every girl’s dream, right? Or at least one they have had amongst their childhood thoughts after watching endless princess movies. But for Anu and Chris, this dream really came to life. 

Once upon a time, in the illustrious grounds of a beautiful venue in Kent, Anu and Chris tied the knot at their Leeds Castle, Kent wedding.  Their monochrome theme and black-tie attire was like a Pinterest mood board, brought to life…

And that is exactly what it was! Let’s explain… 

Anu and Chris were over 5,000 miles away in California at the time of planning their luxury wedding, but as the chosen Asian wedding planner we weren’t going to let that stop us from organising their magical day.

Here’s how we did it:

  • We developed inspirational mood boards to get their vision locked down
  • Found swatches and samples of fabrics and décor to texturize the full experience
  • Spent 6 months wedding planning over Zoom and 1 face-to-face meeting 
  • Dedicated ourselves to the extensive preparation of the phenomenal 4-day build for their one and only event in the UK

From the florist to the DJ, the caterer to the photographer, the wedding coordination of the entire day took meticulous planning and experienced event management. Their dramatic white and red floral bouquets displayed high upon tables and all throughout the venue, were a true reflection of the detail and effort poured into this day, from everyone involved. 

Even the coconut shaved, six tiered wedding cake needed consideration given the inside heat and centre-piece location. 

But, it seems fair to say that from the wonderful testimonial we received, this was a true wedding event success:

So after last weeks blog about “Help… What flowers should I pick for my wedding?”  I’ve received many questions regarding flowers and whether you should pick real over artificial flowers. Obviously it’s down to personal choice, but nowdays its also down too the budget and not forgetting this is being stretched at every point possible.

So we’ve put together a helpful Pros and Cons list for you below! This should also help alongside our previous blog where we added in a helpful handy flower chart by season.

Pros- Real Flowers 

  • Wider choice- As long as your chosen flowers are in season you have a wider colour choice as sometimes in silk artificial flowers different colours can look too artificial.
  • Smell- That beautiful smell of flowers when you walk into a room… you can’t beat it!
  • Dream- It might have always been your dream to have fresh flowers… if so hell with the budget and do it! Your only going to get married once… right?
  • Colour- Colours are endless and can be mixed and match (have a read of the previous blog to see how colours can be mixed)

Hello Brides To Be,

So recently a Bride and Groom asked me to look for a small venue in central London for there civil & wedding breakfast and I stumbled across this little treasure… Fortnum and Mason est 1707. Fortnum and Mason known for it’s afternoon teas, hampers and fine gifts is also a beautiful small wedding venue with multiple rooms on offer.

And I got the opportunity to see this for myself. Fortnum and Mason opened its doors for a Westminster Council Wedding Open Day, offering brides, grooms & clients the opportunity to see the venue and what is has to offer. And oh was a wooowed…. from the Boardroom, The Tasting Room, The Drawing Room & The Crypt. 

From weddings to breakfasts, drinks receptions to private parties a celebration at Fortnums is always an experience to remember. With four beautiful dining spaces, four restaurants all available for exclusive hire its a perfect location to host any event!
